Spare Change
He had a long shaggy beard, dirty clothes.  In the eyes of a city an open sore exposed.  Nowhere to run, no place to go.  Forget the locks cause a cardboard box is what he called home.  Yeah it’s what he called home.  He said “Excuse me can you help me find my way.  You see it’s a long story and well anyway I was traveling down this train  that we call life just before it and derailed and left me here to die…Yeah.  You know it left me here to die.”  Had a wife and a family, dog and a cat  And he broke down when he told about the tragic accident.  I thought to myself ‘what a shame’ standing right there in the pouring rain as I reached into my pocket for my spare change.  Yeah. You know it’s my spare change.  Now the years have gone by, but I can still see those tears in his eyes.  I said the years have gone by, but I can still those tears in his eyes.  Yeah he pulled me close and this he did say, “Never take what you got for granted boy because granted it could be…” I said he pulled me close and this he did say,  “Never take what you got for granted ‘cause granted it could be taken away.”  You know it’s my spare change.
Sparrow
When I look upon that river it seems so wide.
Don’t want to swim across for fear I might die.  And the mountain it looks to me to be so high.  My legs shake and tremble at the thought of the climb.  Then I reflect and reminisce on what I see And a still small voice whispers this to me: Think about the stars the sky and the moon.  By the span of my hand they were all created for you.  So don’t you worry about what it is you see, cause my eyes on the sparrow, and I know his eyes are watching me. Sometimes it’s so easy to walk by what you see, and to gage your future based on your history.  But I know a man who has a better plan and he holds it all in the palm of his hand.  So it’s up to you as to the win or the lose. Not in the luck of the draw but in WHO you choose.  Think about the stars the sky and the moon.  By the span of my hand they were all created for you.  So don’t you worry about what it is you see,  cause my eyes on the sparrow and I know his eyes are watching me.
Live Version:  Now when I look upon this mountain I’m not going by what I see,  cause wisdom discerns that part of destiny,  for me to become all that I am, a vessel of clay shaped by he masters hand,  cause faith is just this forsaken all I trust HIM, through the waves from the sea, the rain, the beating wind.  Think about the stars the sky and the moon.  By the span of my hand they were all created for you.  So don’t you worry about what it is you see  cause my eyes on the sparrow  and I know his eyes are watching me.
I Believe In Love
Sometimes late at night on my bed I think of life and how it’s been good to me.  Not for fancy cars or all this money and caviar, but one word L-O-V-E.  Sittin’ around watching folks go by.  Seems to me like such a waste of time.  But it’s in times like this I reflect on what it is I see  that’s in me, my creed and what it is that I believe.  And I believe in love...I believe in love...I believe in love...I believe in love.  I never knew what love was before ‘till I heard a knock and opened up that door  then love came flooding in.  Made me feel new don’t you know it made me born again.  And I say now I believe in love...I believe in love...I believe in love...I believe in love.  We can make a change, life don’t have to be the same.  Just lay down the hate and refrain from the blame.  (Repeat)  (Repeat)  (Repeat)
Alliance
31 Visuals coming from the TV screen.  Each one with a message, just not sure what they mean.  Information overload as my mind connects.  Is there a rhyme or reason to my soul a cause and infect. Man on the corner trying to sell me his watch and ring.  Says “If you wear it boy, you’ll never be the same.”  Morale of the story and the truth be told  I’ve come to find that everything that shines ain’t necessarily gold.  We gotta stand in alliance.  Gotta stand for what is right.  Gotta stand defiant.  Gotta stand ‘cause we will not be denied.  Let me make this clear and leave no room for doubt.  So stop and listen, take the time to hear me out.  No more of the blame game we will not believe the lies.  We melted the plastic and burned all our disguise.  We gotta stand in alliance.  Gotta stand for what is right.  Gotta stand defiant.  Gotta stand ‘cause we will not be denied.  We gotta stand in alliance.  Gotta stand for what is right.  Gotta stand defiant.  Gotta stand ‘cause we will not be denied.
Desert Song
Drivin’ down the road about ninety five.  She was looking for someplace to take her last dive.  So low she could not even crawl.  It seemed that no one cared at all.  Everybody has a way...At some time, some point, some day...Saying “somebody please care for me...Somebody please…love me.”  Little Johnny came home late from school.  He was always told he was a fool.  Got tired of being put down, down, down.  Now little Johnny is no longer around. Everybody has a way...At some time, some point, some day...Saying “somebody please care for me...Somebody please…love me.”  Everybody has a way...At some time, some point, some day...Saying “somebody please care for me...Somebody please…love me.”
Geetar Sound
Well I’m coming to your town.  Bringing this geetar sound.  Said I’m coming to your town.  Everybody’s gonna get down.  Just you wait and see.  This geetar music’s gonna set you free!  That’s why I’m coming to your town.  No longer am I messing around.  Said I’m coming to your town.  So bake the biscuits baby, bake ‘em nice and brown.  Taste my recipe, a six string delight of ear candy.  I’m coming to your town.  Bringing this geetar sound.  Said I’m coming to your town.  Everybody’s gonna get down.  Just you wait and see, listen to my guitar as it gently weeps.
Metamorphosis

Ghost
Leave a light on for me tonight.  Say a prayer in my ear I need to hear everything’s gonna be all right.  Batten down the hatch and lock it up real tight, ‘cause you never know…about a ghost.  Staring at those big eyes looking up at me.  Yeah it feels so good these days to be called ‘Daddy’.  ‘Cause there was a time, you know, not so long ago, not sure I would’ve beat these demons that I now…call a ghost.  No, you never know.  So I pull the covers up and I tuck him in real tight.  And whisper these five words, “Everything’s gonna be all right”.  And took his hand and prayed, “Lord we thank you so for watching over us with the eyes of The Holy Ghost”.  No, you never know.  No, you never know.  So when those familiar spirits come calling me...You know their voices I’ve learned in ways that seem uncanny.  I heard them say that ‘you can run but you can’t hide’.  But what they don’t know is there’s a shadow A place where I abide…my oh my. No, you never know.
Rattlesnake
Living life everyday same ole same way something’s got to change.  ‘Cause every breath feels like death seems to me like nothing’s left but I know there’s got to be more.  But I don’t know what it’s gonna take to break through, ‘cause I can’t say what tomorrow holds.  And deep down in me there’s a light that’s dying to shine bidding me to leave it all behind.  Yeah…shake off the rattlesnake.  Nothing is as it seems so it seems to me, I guess seemin’ seems wrong.  ‘Cause the illusionbreeds confusion, giving me a contusion.  I think it’s insanity.  But I don’t know what it’s gonna take to break through, ‘cause I can’t say what tomorrow holds.  And deep down in me there’s a light that’s dying to shine bidding me to leave it all behind.  But I don’t know what it’s gonna take to break through, ‘cause I can’t say what tomorrow holds.  And deep down in me there’s a light that’s dying to shine bidding me to leave it all behind.
Diamond
She’s a treasure in the rough that you were never searching for.  But the beauty from her shine causes you to dig just a little more.  As you brush the leaves away and discover what words could never say. A soul that shines so bright.  Now I’m captivated by her eyes.  And the beauty from this jewel I find myself with no disguise.  As I pour out my soul this she lets me know everything’s gonna be alright.  She says everything’s gonna be alright. She’s a little rough around the edges, it cuts right through.  She speaks her mind and she shares the truth.  She gets more precious as the times go by, like hot-rod cars, guitars and fine wine.  She’s my beauty, she’s my beautiful diamond.  Now just like a diamond pure clarity that’s true, with a transparency that Ray Charles could see through.  Says “What you see is what you get”.  Sensitive people always remit, but I think she’s so cool!  So many will talk praise to your face.  But when you’re not around they’re quick to put you in your place.  I wonder why that is, so I asked her why.  She said, “People are afraid if it’s not like their kind.” She said, “Those people talk about people ‘cause they have small minds.” She’s a little rough around the edges, it cuts right through.  She speaks her mind and she shares the truth.  She gets more precious as the times go by, like hot-rod cars, guitars and fine wine.  She’s my beauty, she’s my beautiful diamond.  She’s a little rough around the edges, it cuts right through.  She speaks her mind and she shares the truth.  She gets more precious as the times go by, like hot-rod cars, guitars and fine wine.  She’s my beauty, she’s my beautiful diamond.
