One Million Mission...the story.
In November of 2006, when Jill went to work for TMoody.com full time, we decided if we were going to be independent, we would do it all the way. We knew record labels were a thing of the past and a new music industry was emerging bigger and better than ever before! We decided to become the first artist to sell one million CD's without the help of a record label. We determined that since CD's were on the way out, we only had 5 years to accomplish this. We knew there would be a high price that came with this kind of goal, but we committed and have been paying it ever since.
The key to the vision coming to pass is YOU! Only YOU can make it happen. I make great music and Jill is great at making it available to you. Now the ball is in your court and YOU can help to make music history simply by buying some of the BEST music you've ever heard!!

Q. Why one million CD's?
A. Only because that seems to be the magic number in the 'record' industry that defines you as a success.
Q. Do downloads count?
A. Only if the 10 song CD sells through iTunes or other CD Baby channels.
Q. Why not sell the CD's cheaper to sell more?
A. You must have legitimate market pricing to prove to record labels that indie's can do this without them and make this a valid and officially recognized achievement...besides the music on a TMoody CD is priceless!
Q. Is there any other artist trying to accomplish this goal?
A. Not when we started (we Googled the snot out of it) but we are hoping some get inspired by our vision and jump on board and try to achieve it too. This vision belongs to all indie artists we may lead the way, but someone could pass us!
Q. What if somebody beats you to the one million CD sales?
A. We would be very proud of their accomplishments! However, we are hard workers that work smart, so they would certainly have their tongue hanging out when they passed us. We also have other achievements we are working toward, but in the end, we are still all about GREAT music!
